What do past attendees think?

As owner and director of WhichDoor - a young company - I spent the first year or so concentrating on establishing my client base and growing my market. Clearer Thoughts became clients and it was while researching their company for the development of their website that I first found out about the ILM programme.

For me it offered really valuable insights into my own approach to running a business, the value of internal systems to measure quality and useful ways of motivating my growing staff.

Although it's been hard work finding the time to write the assignments, they are all so relevant to my work in developing my own company that I would have no hesitation in recommending this course to other small business owners like myself.

I found Clearer Thoughts as a Company and the trainer we had, Donna Stewart, to be professional, efficient and above all else welcoming. As an experienced manager I found this course to be a great refresher, and as I anticipated I learnt a great deal, it is good to share best practices and bounce ideas off a trained professional and other attendees in different professions.

The trainer was approachable but had the required knowledge to develop us and guide us to our own solutions; the course was relevant to the environment I work in which therefore enabled me to transfer the skills and knowledge I achieved to my day to day challenges.

ILM has allowed me to manage my staff in a busy working environment so that everyone's common goals are met and all individuals' needs are managed. I would strongly recommend this to others as it has a great ability to transcend all levels of management and is relevant to anyone in the workplace. On another note our trainer asked us to draw on out of work experiences and this course will also help you in those areas.

ILM Level 2 Qualifications

Studying for an ILM is like using building blocks: establish your foundations then add to them bit by bit.
Each module can be studied alone or can count as credits towards a bigger qualification.

The Level 2 Award is 3 credits, the Certificate is 13.
The Level 3 Award is 5 credits, the Certificate 20 and the Diploma 37

This acclaimed qualification is now recognised and supported by the Government.
Under new rules an ILM Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading should be treated as a full Level 2
for Train To Gain funding purposes.

Clearer Thoughts will continue to run company-specific programmes but will also be running public
Level 2 Award programmes regularly throughout 2010, together with a programme of modules selected
by Award delegates to help them build on towards their next level. Under ILM rules, delegates can take
up to two years to complete a Certificate programme and up to three years to complete a Diploma.
