The new season and renewal

Yes, I know it’s still August but the weather would lead you to think it was already September. The shops are full of “back to school” ads and the nights are drawing in. There’s a slight melancholia attached to this but mostly, I think, we’re turning to the autumn for renewal with a sense of vigour and excitement. It’s been a lovely summer despite the recent storms and there’s clear signs that the economic recovery is gaining pace.
